Nationwide resurfacing and utilities specialist Remac adds eight new IVECO vans to its already 60-strong fleet of vehicles. Each Daily has been tailored to ensure efficiency and driver comfort, with one hero vehicle carrying a very important message.

Finished in a bright pink livery, proudly displaying the mantra “she believes she could, so she did”, the unique IVECO Daily van (35C16 V) will be run by an all-female crew.  Remac has admired and supported women in the construction industry and is extremely happy to have a vehicle on the fleet that cements its inclusive standpoint in the sector.

Claire Chivers, Director at Remac Ltd commented: “It is so important in the construction industry that we give equal opportunities to all our staff and celebrate that diversity where we can.”

In addition to this special Daily, Remac has added another four IVECO Daily 3.5 tonne vans and three IVECO Daily 7.2 tonne dropsides to join the hardworking fleet of over 60 light commercial vehicles. The IVECO’s strength and durability is tested daily by Remac as the teams transport heavy tools, equipment and materials to various sites around the UK. The Daily’s strong truck-based chassis and up to 3.5-tonne towing capacity makes it the perfect vehicle for towing and transporting substantial equipment.

Claire added: “We are extremely happy with the new vehicles as they perform well in all conditions. The twin rear wheels give us the confidence and stability when towing heavy equipment and the turning circle of the Daily is unmatched.”

Remac crews work hard and spend long hours in the cab, making comfort a top priority. Hi-comfort memory foam seats and fatigue-reducing ‘City Mode’ steering enhance drivability, along with the Daily’s class-leading agility, ensures ease of operation in tight urban environments. The specification is further enhanced by residual-boosting Business trim which includes manual air conditioning, front fog lights, cruise control, and electrically heated door mirrors.

Richie Croker, Area Sales Manager at Southwest Truck and Van said: “It’s been a pleasure working with and delivering multiple vehicles to Remac as part of the continual replacement program we have set in place. When they spoke about the idea of an all-female crewed van, it was clear to see the passion and excitement for the project which we were honoured to be a part of.”

Mike Cutts, IVECO Business Line Director Full Range UK & ROI commented: “It is fantastic to see this statement-making IVECO Daily join the renewed Remac fleet. Strength and mission focus are two of the many things these women and their new vehicle have in common.”
