When it comes to versatile vehicles, the IVECO Daily is a staple of the commercial vehicle world – something highlighted by the IVECO Daily winning the 2023 Business Van ‘Best Large Van’ award. Citing its innovative AIR-PRO suspension that provides superior comfort and load security, this large van impressed judges.
The IVECO Daily was awarded thanks to its “impressive suite of intelligent solutions along with its unique pneumatic suspension and electronic controls operated via a dedicated in-cab switch. A great mix of driving comfort and cargo-carrying capability.”
The IVECO Daily combines a rugged truck-based chassis, highly capable 3.5-tonne towing ability, class-leading cargo space, and an impressive 4.9-tonne payload with the latest technology such as AIR-PRO. AIR-PRO rear suspension continuously adapts to the conditions of use to deliver a uniquely smooth and safe ride for driver and load. Its Continuous Damping Control (CDC) unit reacts almost instantly to changes in road surface quality, re-calculating ideal individual shock absorber pressure every 10 milliseconds to deliver the optimal dynamic reaction. As such, a 25% reduction in vibrations contributes to supreme comfort and a more relaxed driving experience.
Drivers can prioritise comfort with the ‘Soft’ setting, or when carrying a heavy load select ‘Load’ to optimise handling and roll control. AIR-PRO suspension takes the payload into consideration, reducing the roll angle by 30% in bends, enhancing the driver’s safety and protecting the load. Loading and unloading operations are made easy and efficient, adjusting the height of the vehicle chassis in less than 10 seconds. A memory function also enables the driver to store the alignment with regularly visited loading bays, saving time.
The new all-electric IVECO eDaily will officially make its UK debut at the 2023 Commercial Vehicle Show, the country’s biggest display of vehicles, equipment, and technology for the road haulage industry. This class-leading EV was ‘Highly Commended’ in the ‘Large E Van’ category of the Business Vans awards. It is the only eLCV capable of towing 3.5-tonnes thanks to its strong truck-based chassis, and its wide range of wheelbases allowing it to deliver up to 20 cubic metres of cargo capacity. It’s the same Daily, just electric.
A choice of battery configurations allows operators to tailor an eDAILY to their individual mission, balancing payload with range. The van’s 80kW rapid charging capacity allows the eDAILY to gain 62 miles of range in just 30 minutes with a total range on a full charge of up to 248 miles*.
