Neil Park has been appointed as Regional Managing Director for Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland.
Neil originally joined Volvo Trucks in 1993 as a technician and progressed to become Retail Development Manager for Volvo Truck and Bus Scotland in 2002.
After the formation of Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland in 2009 Neil joined the senior management team and has been deeply involved in developing and implementing the overall company vision and strategy.
With over 23 years’ experience in the Volvo network, and as Regional Aftersales Director since 2013 he has developed a comprehensive understanding of the internal and external business environments, whilst demonstrating the leadership skills and focus that will help further develop the vital relationships with customers at Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland.
Neil began his career in the truck industry in 1988 when he worked as an apprentice technician for local Scottish haulier, James Wilson Transport in Muirkirk, followed by several years with John Maitland & Sons of Trabboch, East Ayrshire.
Since that time, Neil has accrued invaluable depth of experience and understanding of the challenges faced by transport operators, thanks to his many years working on the front line of customer support.
In addition to serving customers as a qualified, accredited HGV Technician, Neil has led and been a key member of Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland workshop and customer service teams while working as Service Reception Engineer, Workshop Controller and Service Manager at the company’s dealerpoints in Edinburgh, Barrhead and Cardonald.
Commitment, trust, employee empowerment and a drive for continuous improvement, are key to Neil’s focus in ensuring that Volvo listens, acts and becomes even closer to its customers, to help make them more profitable and make Volvo Truck and Bus Centre North & Scotland a true Customer Company.
