Bolton-based general haulier, JMA Transport Ltd, has opted for the 44 tonne Renault Range T460 Comfort, following head-to-head demonstrations with Mercedes, Iveco and DAF. The two Renault Range Ts, supplied by BRS Ltd, one of the UK’s leading commercial vehicle contract hire suppliers, join JMA Transport’s 10-strong Mercedes, Iveco & Renault fleet, with a further 6 on order for delivery later in the year.

The Range Ts, which will be used for general haulage work across the UK, have been supplied on 2 and 4 year deals, with a full contract hire package through BRS Ltd that includes service, maintenance, breakdown and recovery.

JMA Transport’s Financial Director, Chris Allsop, explains why he opted for Renault Trucks and BRS Ltd: ‘’We selected the new Range T for quite a few reasons; it offered the best overall deal for our particular needs plus, crucially, it was the best on fuel when we put it head-to-head in demonstrations with other manufacturers. We chose BRS Ltd as one of our contract hire suppliers because of the excellent services and great working relationship we have with the Manchester branch.’’

Chris continued: “The appeal of the new Range T is the improved cab and locker space and the driver’s feedback has been really positive so far; the cab layout is proving to be a real winner! Overall the performance of the Range T has been good and we are expecting to see an improvement in fuel economy as the vehicle runs in.”
