From the third installment of their annual TruckPark Tour, SNAP, the haulage industry’s digital marketplace, found that 80% of drivers at their UK events used SNAP over other payment methods to pay for their parking.
At the end of August, SNAP wrapped up a third successful year of their Truckpark Tour. Giving back to the tireless truck-driving community, SNAP extended the tour to sixteen truck stop venues and spoke to hundreds of drivers to learn more about their behaviours, needs, and wants. From their findings, SNAP found that drivers wanted to see more service partners join the network and benefitted the most from SNAP’s digital payment solution.
Launching the tour in the UK at Felixstowe Truckstop on the 26th of June, the tour proceeded to stop in Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, and Poland – concluding in the UK at The Hollies, The Stop on the 28th of August. During each event, the SNAP team provided entertainment, competitions, and giveaways for drivers.
“The tour last year was a huge success, and we returned bigger and better this year. As we continue to expand into Europe, we wanted to learn more about the behaviours and needs of our European audience, and this year’s tour has been crucial in understanding those.
“As the backbone of global commerce, it’s been fantastic to chat and give back to so many drivers,” states Marketing & Social Media Executive, James Harding, who coordinated the tour.
With SNAP used by 80% of drivers at UK events, it was no surprise to see that 47% of them wanted to see more UK sites join the network. In Europe, when asked what else they required from SNAP, 74% of drivers wanted to see more service partners join the network across the continent. SNAP has over 600 service partners available to their customers and has recently acquired the OTRA truck parking network, offering an additional 120+ truck parking choices across Europe.
70% of European and UK drivers stated they benefited the most from SNAP’s digital payment system – where drivers no longer have to pay out of their own money and claim it back. 28% explained they liked the amount of SNAP parking available, while 27% found SNAP’s website and their driver’s app, intruck, helpful.
Matthew Bellamy, Managing Director, comments, “This year’s Truckpark Tour provided us with invaluable learnings that will be vital to our progression. From the feedback we have received, we know there is a need for more SNAP service partners in Europe. As we expand, we will continue to provide SNAP parking for drivers traversing tirelessly across the continent.”
