Milton Keynes-based Brian Currie, one of DAF Trucks’ most successful UK dealer groups, has revealed that its new ‘TRP Service Plus’ all-makes parts and service location in Daventry is now fully operational.
Brian Currie Daventry Truck & Trailer becomes the first TRP Service Plus location in the UK providing a dedicated parts shop and service workshop for operators of all vehicle makes.
The new location, situated at Drayton Fields Industrial Estate, comprises workshops, parts and office facilities. The site provides Brian Currie with a prime location to serve mixed-fleet operators with its TRP all-makes brand for trucks, trailers, tankers and workshop consumables. Brian Currie now has sites in Milton Keynes, Northampton, Bedford, Irthlingborough and Daventry.
Despite considerable difficulties brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, Brian Currie has managed throughout 2020 to refurbish the existing premises in Daventry acquired from Volvo Truck & Bus, with all services – including a six-bay workshop – now fully operational. Brian Currie had previously acquired the Long March Commercials business in Daventry which had already built-up an excellent reputation for providing local truck operators with all-makes service and parts.
The new TRP Service Plus workshop and parts facility is a new offering from Brian Currie, and one which is being monitored closely by DAF Trucks’ wider dealer network as part of PACCAR Parts’ strategy to further developing TRP with Service Plus workshop locations elsewhere in the UK and Ireland. The TRP all-makes truck and trailer parts range is available across the 135-point DAF Dealer network throughout UK and Ireland, including 20 dedicated TRP Shops. Daventry, however, is the first Service Plus location offering parts and workshop services across all marques of truck and trailer under the TRP brand.
“Daventry has been on our wish list for some time,” said Tom Osborne, Joint Managing Director at Brian Currie, “and we already know that our mixed-fleet customers want a dedicated all-makes parts and service offering under one roof. This new TRP Service Plus facility in Daventry ticks a lot of boxes,” he said, “and, with the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in sight, we’re looking forward to welcoming many new operators through the doors.”
Backing-up Osborne’s view is local haulier and customer, Arcese, “Having a TRP Service Plus workshop and parts shop in Daventry is going to be great for our business,” said Kevin Keenan, Operations Manager at Arcese, “the TRP parts service from Brian Currie has to-date always been exceptional, but now, a dedicated service workshop on our doorstep is going to allow us to keep our vehicles in tip-top condition at an affordable cost. Its all about keeping vehicles out on the road working whilst ensuring compliance. While their skills and ability are consistently high,” he said, “it’s the ‘can do’ attitude from its people that separates Brian Currie from the rest,” adding, “they really do go out of their way for us.”
The TRP parts range now exceeds 90,000 individual items covering all makes of HGV, LCV, trailer, tanker and workshop consumables. TRP also offers vendor-branded parts, with all parts covered by full DAF warranty. Operators can also locate and order parts via the DAF Webshop.
