Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, a request was made to identify how many crossings were made by HGV’s in 2016 during charging hours.
It has been confirmed that 5,477,825 crossings were made by HGVs during charging hours in the 2015/16 financial year, of which 1,499,741 of those crossings (27%) were made by non-UK registered HGVs. A total of £28.8m was collected in payments made for HGVs in this period.
