Leading palletised freight distribution provider Palletline is leading the way in the transport industry by achieving coveted accreditations for a sixth consecutive year.
Not only has Palletline retained the ISO 9001, 14001, 45001 from the British Assessment Bureau (BAB) which sets the criteria for achieving health and safety accreditations for a six year with no non-conformances it has more recently has retained the highly respected and sought after 50001 standard.
Consistently pushing the boundaries to strive for health and safety excellence, the Palletline team has introduced a number of new measures in addition to BAB requirements to consistently ensure that health and safety is at its highest level. One such initiative is a new driver safety guide developed by Palletline’s Health & Safety Co-ordinator and Trainer Liam Pegg. The guide has been translated into six languages to ensure all drivers are familiar with it and encouraged to follow Palletline best practice across the network.
Palletline has also recently begun a partnership with Adler & Allan, experts in emergency spillages. They provide 24-hour coverage to all Palletline hubs in case of emergency arriving within 60 minutes giving depots peace of mind day and night.
Additionally, to further improve safety within the hub, Palletline has invested in eight new strapping and restacking bays. The newly installed bays will allow drivers to increase load strapping ensuring loads are more secure when leaving the depot.
The Palletline hubs have also seen the introduction of a brand-new cherry picker system which has the ability to move all around the trailer adding in extra layers of safety to the loading and unloading of trailers ensuring everyone surrounding the bays are safe.
Health and safety has always been at the forefront of Palletline’s strategy and the company is continuously striving for excellence. The company’s award winning HSEQ Manager Ken Bell is a qualified health and safety auditor to 45001 standard and has also completed the 9001 quality lead auditors’ course. His colleague Rob Carney, Palletline’s Facilities Manager is a qualified 50001 auditor, complementing Ken’s skills in ensuring the award for the sixth consecutive year.
The accreditations stand Palletline in good stead as the company continues its drive to reinforce its position as a UK market leader.
