West Road Haulage, Staffordshire based family-owned haulage company, has purchased two New Generation DAF XD 450 rigid trucks. Supplied by local Motus Commercials dealerships in Burton and Derby, these vehicles will enter operation to deliver nationally and internationally, specialising in bulk, industrial and construction haulage.
The XDs are a part of the company’s fleet expansion, working to provide a more efficient and larger scale service to their customers. With features such as DAF Corner View, DAF multi- support technology and fall arrest systems, these vehicles are welcomed additions to the fleet.Both vehicles have been fitted with Moffett demountable forklift kits, adapting the trucks to be fit for purpose in their operation. Safety is at the forefront in importance, so the additional passenger door side window and a DVS 4 Star rating were essential to protect the drivers and the longevity of the vehicles. West Road Haulage are FORS Silver Accredited, demonstrating their commitment to safety and operational excellence, which is consolidated towards their acquisition of the new vehicles.

The drivers have found the trucks very comfortable and are very happy with their overall greater vision, adapting quickly to the new camera system after feeling apprehensive towards the change.
