The first of its kind in the UK, the smaller carbon footprint offered by the Scania Hybrid meant it was a no-brainer investment for Oliver Connell as they strive to remain a leader of sustainable and efficient business.
Whilst Oliver Connell & Son are already FORS Gold accredited, the L-series low cab specified on the vehicle also assists Oliver Connell in staying abreast of TfL Direct Vision Standard compliance.
The Palfinger PK24 crane and Sterling beavertail body with cheesewedge ramps fitted to the Scania Hybrid make it very versatile. Carrying a wide range of loads including plant, cabins and building materials mean the vehicle can be used to maximum utilisation and provide best return on investment.
David Sheath – HSE Director at Oliver Connell commented:
“at Oliver Connell & Son we are continuously recycling our vehicles and equipment to keep up with both the demands of our clients and the environment we operate in. We are very proud of our efforts making honourable and responsible gains with our fleet, but the journey does not stop here. We look forward to sharing the plans we have for the rest of our fleet in the not-too-distant future.”
