With the arrival of the latest Isuzu Grafter Green 3.5 tonne dropside truck at Genesis CMS Ltd, Isuzu Grafters now account for 50% of the delivery fleet at the Keighley-based supplier of hydraulic breakers and attachments for the plant hire, construction and utilities markets.
Genesis CMS Ltd took delivery of its first Isuzu Grafter well over 10 years ago and it is still running on a daily basis within the company’s fleet. The subsequent addition into the Genesis fleet of further Grafters, including the recent introduction of the new specification Isuzu Grafter Green, now represents over 10 successful years of partnership between the two companies.
“We first dipped our toe in the water with Isuzu Truck UK a decade ago, initially on a trial basis, so this relationship has obviously worked as our first vehicle has been totally reliable, giving us excellent payload capacity in that time. We bought a second Isuzu Grafter three years ago and that has been equally successful, again with no real problems or issues from day one,” said Andy Clough, managing director, Genesis CMS Ltd.
Andy continues, “The arrival of the latest specification Grafter Green has gone down really well with the drivers as not only is it an excellent truck that is smoother to drive than its predecessors, it is also considerably lighter, giving us an even better payload of 1.5 tonnes.”
After 10 years of uninterrupted service, the first Isuzu Grafter paved the way for the future Isuzus, as it has now covered in excess of 268,000 miles during its decade in service, requiring no major repairs apart from general servicing.

The latest Isuzu Grafter drop side rigid truck for Genesis CMS Ltd has been supplied by local Isuzu Truck dealer Cartwright Fleet Services in Leeds and is expected to cover an average 40,000 miles per annum over its working life at the company.
