After positive feedback from the company’s drivers, leading container haulier James Kemball Limited has invested £3.5 million in a further order for 40 new FH-500 tractor units.

“Volvo is a premium marque whose core values of quality, safety and care for the environment are aligned with those of James Kemball Limited,” says General Manager Chris Abbott, adding: “In addition to Volvo’s emphasis on driver comfort and delivering a top class driver environment with the FH, this major order for 40 high specification tractor units sees James Kemball Limited continue to partner with Volvo as a provider of transport solutions and further take up the significant environmental advantages of the greatly reduced emissions of Euro-6 compliant vehicles – which continues to help the company reduce its carbon footprint.”

The new FHs are being supplied by Volvo Truck and Bus Centre East Anglia, Felixstowe. All are on Gold Repair & Maintenance contracts with Uptime Assurance. The latter is an important component part of the order says Chris Abbott: “James Kemball deliver a high level of customer service, therefore maximising vehicle utilisation and uptime are vital to us as a company.”

Specification of the Globetrotter cabbed FH-500 6×2 tractor units includes I-Shift automated gearboxes, Drive+ trim, reclining bunks, swivel passenger seats, fridge, microwave and built-in TV/DVD players and Bluetooth.
