HOYER is expanding its Petrolog fleet in the UK with the delivery of 26 new Scania P 450 vehicles in early 2019.
The order includes eight Hydrapak and 16 Non-Hydrapak trucks. Scania vehicles currently make up 10 per cent of the company’s UK fleet.
Further vehicles will be tendered earlier next year as part of HOYER’s growth strategy.
As well as updating the fleet with newer, more reliable trucks, drivers will have the benefit of new features including Advanced Emergency Braking (AEB) and Lane Departure Warning (LDW) as standard.
As part of the deal, all vehicles will be placed on a Fixed Price Maintenance package giving HOYER certainty over its vehicle costs throughout the next five years.
Furthermore, all trailers connected to the tractor units will be maintained at Scania’s workshops which have years of experience in high quality maintenance of fuels trailers.
As part of its commitment to sustainability throughout its global operations, HOYER measures its logistics activity on a number of criteria including fuel consumption and the CO2 emissions of all transport in accordance with the CEFIC Guideline of the European Chemical Industry Council.

Matthew Cox, Senior Fleet Engineer with HOYER Petrolog says: “The drivers have only trialled the Scania demonstrator truck so far, but all feedback has been positive. They have commented that it is comfortable, quiet and powerful.”
The New Scania P450s join an existing UK fleet of more than 500 HOYER vehicles operating nationally across HOYER’s UK sites.
