Volvo Dealer, Mansel Davies & Son, based in South Wales, is set to be the focus of a brand-new documentary which airs later this month on Welsh-language TV channel, S4C.
The new six-part documentary series, ‘Lorïau Mansel Davies a’i Fab’, which starts on Wednesday, January 18th 2017 demonstrates how the company remains very much a family business with an emphasis on employing local people in the Pembrokeshire area.

The company has been going in one form or another since 1875, but has been a goods and freight supplier since 1900, initially with horse and cart and then increasingly by truck. These days, using the latest logistics technology, it includes a Volvo dealership and a fleet of over 150 trucks, employing over 300 people from a 25-mile radius of its Llanfyrnach village headquarters.

The company is headed by Stephen Davies and over the series, viewers will get to know the Davies family, his wife, Siân, daughter Sasha and son Scott, who all work for the business, although Stephen’s 80-year-old father Kaye Mansel Davies still has more than a say in the running of the yard !

Viewers will also get to follow the truck drivers on their daily journeys, see how the staff copes on Christmas Day and join in Kaye Mansel’s 80th birthday celebrations !
