Rhenus Home Delivery UK (RHD UK), part of global logistics leader Rhenus Logistics, has confirmed it has received Planet Mark certification for its central distribution centre in Magna Park, Lutterworth, Leicestershire. This significant milestone underscores the company’s unwavering dedication to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
Planet Mark certification, launched in 2013 by CEO Steve Malkin and backed by the Eden Project, is awarded to businesses taking proactive measures in transitioning to a net-zero world in reducing carbon emissions and creating operational efficiencies, while simultaneously delivering exceptional products and services.
The certification follows the opening of RHD UK at the Leicestershire site in 2022. The new site measures 258,000 square total feet and has 126 bay doors.Emissions reduction measures introduced by RHD UK include the launch ofpaperless processing and on-site third-party space storage optimisation.
