A rapidly-growing recycling business in Hull has partnered with Hiab, the heavy-load handling equipment experts, to help drive forward its ambitious expansion plans.
S&J Synergy delivers a total waste management service for manufacturers in food, wood, glass and plastic before supplying recycled materials back to businesses to reduce landfill.
After recently winning two new contracts, S&J Synergy has invested in a new MULTILIFT ULTIMA 24S to manage its increasing workload across the Yorkshire region, expanding its fleet vehicles to 15.
The family-run business has eight vehicles installed with Hiab’s cranes and lifting systems, which are vital in helping more businesses be sustainable through recycling and reusing materials.
Jill Gibson, managing director for S&J Synergy said: “At the core of our business we collect waste material and process it in our own material recycling facility so it can become a new product.
“For instance, we play a major role in the supply chain of a customer who makes dumbbells and grass reinforcement grids from plastic we have sourced and recycled, so reliability and performance are vital for us.
“A lot of our clients operate 24/7 so it’s really important that we have reliable and hard-working equipment that can help us deliver.
“I’m really proud to help reduce landfill waste and help businesses operate more sustainable practices. Organisations are really waking up to the circular economy movement, which presents a really exciting opportunity for us as a business.
“We know we need a supply chain partner who we can rely on and shares our ethos for sustainability, which is why we’ve chosen Hiab as a preferred supplier.”
Dek Butler, MULTILIFT product specialist for Hiab, said: “Our equipment is ideal for businesses like S&J Synergy, our specialist hookloaders are made for managing hazardous materials like glass and provide an agile solution for tight spaces and challenging working environments.
“S&J Synergy’s needs vary depending on the customer and the materials they’re working with, our MULTILIFT range is perfect for the scope of their operations.
“At Hiab we’re focused on promoting sustainable operations so we’re really pleased to be working closely with S&J Synergy who play a major role in recycling across the region.”
