The air cargo arm of freight forwarding company Davies Turner has expanded its presence at the East Midlands Airport (EMA)..
The company has moved a 2,956ft2 unit at the Air Cargo Centre to the airport campus as the new facility provides it with additional space to address its air cargo needs.
The new location is one of the 20 Davies Turner branches that are located throughout the UK and Ireland.
Davies Turner had first opened its office at the airport premises in 1996 following which it has expanded steadily. The company said that it has carried out the recent expansion as it needed more space to handle its customers’ needs at EMA that is considered to be UK’s second-busiest cargo airport.
Davies Turner chairman, Philip Stephenson said: “The relocation will allow the continued expansion of this successful branch whilst staying on the airport complex.”
The expansion was carried out by local property consultancy Innes England.
Innes England associate director Stuart Waite said: “East Midlands Airport is a major cargo hub – second only to London Heathrow – so the estate is well positioned for companies servicing the airport or utilising the airport for logistics.”
