Chippenham-based Norman E Webb has reinvested in smaller trucks to service its rural customers. The 7.5-tonne Iveco Eurocargos can travel Wiltshire lanes and access difficult addresses with an ease larger vehicles cannot manage.

“We operate 30 trucks and 20 vans across the business, and TPN accounts for more than one-third of our work,” says Lee Butcher, transport manager at the family-run haulier. “We have bought three more small vehicles because, although they have limited payload, they are essential to delivering a good service for our village-based customers.”

Norman E Webb’s major pallet customers are in the construction and print businesses, but it handles a wide range of general freight. “TPN gives us and our customers a really high service and we continually invest to make sure that we too hit all of our KPIs for customers,” says Butcher.
