The newly-crowned largest container ship in the world has arrived at Felixstowe for its first visit to the UK.
MSC Oscar is shorter in length than the previous holder the CSCL Globe, which we reported on back in January when it arrived in Felixstowe, but the vessel can carry 124 more containers.
It is 396m (12,999ft) long and has a capacity of 19,224 standard containers.
It is reported that more than 200 people welcomed the vessel’s arrival, at approximately 11:30 GMT.
Felixstowe is its last port of call before it returns to Asia.
