WINCATON oil tanker drivers based at the haulier’s Stockton depot will undertake a week of stoppages from January 24 as part of a national dispute over pay and working conditions.
The drivers will join colleagues based at Kingsbury in Warwickshire and Immingham, in Lincolnshire in the action which is set to hit petrol deliveries to Jet forecourts across the country.
The 100 staff work on a contract for energy firm ConocoPhillips.
Matt Draper, Unite national officer, said: “Our members could not have sent a clearer message. Wincanton may well be surprised by the strength of feelings amongst its drivers, but it ignores their concerns at its peril.”
