Scania dealer group and commercial workshop operator, TruckEast Ltd is continuing its expansion in East Anglia, by moving their Head Office to a new purpose-built site in Bury St Edmunds, IP30 9RZ.
Located just off junction 47a of the A14 and just a short distance from its old Stowmarket base, the site measures a total of 3.7 acres giving space for a large, workshop, vehicle wash facility, electric charging points and office space. With the new facilities now available, the branch will represent an investment into the local area of over £7 million.
Utilising the new workshop and bodyshops eight 30m bays, the new branch offers servicing, repairs and maintenance for all makes of commercial vehicle.
The building has been installed with energy saving features, including solar panels, LED lighting, rainwater harvesting, full insulation, and skylights. There is also a green area to encourage wildlife and biodiversity.
Executive Regional Director of Scania Europe North Region, James Armstrong, Managing Director of Scania Great Britain, Chris Newitt, and Executive Chairman of TruckEast, John Biggin, inaugurated the new site on 14th October 2022.
