In the first few months of 2020 Seven Asset Management has been extremely busy delivering a variety of bespoke commercial vehicles to a wide portfolio of its customers. However, their most recent delivery happened a bit closer to home!
The latest order for 6 DAF Super Space XF tractor units has been delivered to their sister company Seven Lincs who are a transport and logistics company headquartered in Felixstowe. Although being primarily based in Felixstowe, they also have depots in London Gateway and Southampton ports enabling them to operate from all the major UK container ports with a fleet of over 150 vehicles.
Seven Lincs was formed in 2005 and since then they have achieved continued growth within the container transport supply chain industry. Throughout this 15-year period Seven Asset has played a key supporting role by providing Contract Hire for the continued expansion, as well as renewals so that Seven Lincs maintain a modern and diverse fleet to meet its customers requirements. The 24/7/365 support Seven Asset’s in-house staff provide is an essential requirement for the transport industry’s 24-hour nationwide operational activities, the prior planning of all MOT’s, services, inspections and pre-emptive maintenance that Seven Asset provide is critical to reduce fleet downtime when operating within a time specific industry.
The new DAF FTGXF 480 Super Space Cab tractor units have been liveried with EV Cargo branding as part of a new business contract and will be covering around 85,000 miles per year. All vehicle management will be carried out by Seven Asset Management throughout the duration of the 5-year contract; additional equipment fitted to the vehicle includes a full camera recording and display system, as well as step protect and left turn warning equipment to assist the vehicle in meeting requirements for the new direct vision standards (DVS) that are to be introduced from October 2020.
Seven Asset Management have been supplying and managing commercial vehicles for over 20 years, continuously developing their fleet services to provide a unique service provision and meet growing industry demands. From their head office in Ipswich, they maintain a nationwide network of audited service centres and suppliers throughout the United Kingdom, enabling them to deliver the extremely high levels of customer service that Seven Lincs and the rest of its customer base have come to expect.
