Scottish timber haulage specialist, E M & T Rapson’s 44-tonne Renault Trucks Range T520 tag with Comfort Pack, supplied by Renault Trucks Scotland, is proving more than tough enough for the arduous Highlands terrain.
The Range T, striking in E M & T Rapson’s red and blue livery, has been particularly impressive in its handling and performance in demanding conditions on and off-road. Fitted with air-horns, light-bar and spotlights, the forestry specification Range T with Kesla Forestri crane and Dennison skeletal trailer, is the first Renault truck on the company’s 9-strong fleet.
Previously a sceptic of Euro-6, E M & T Rapson Partner, Tommy Rapson, has been won over by the Range T. As he explains: “The approach from Renault Trucks Scotland and a test drive, organised by Elgin Truck and Van in Inverness, left me feeling extremely impressed. The competitive package on offer, which includes a 5-year repair and maintenance contract, sealed the deal.”
Tommy continues: “It’s a really good lorry and our driver has been amazed by its performance. The Highlands are renowned for their challenging hills, but the Range T climbs them effortlessly; our driver has found that it pulls like a train and walks away from the competition.”
“The truck has been outstanding off-road too,” he adds, “Forestry roads are notoriously gruelling, but the Range T handles them with ease!”
